Lab 6: “Design of a New Molecular Diagnostic System” Computer-Aided Design Feature 1: Disease SNP-Specific Primers Feature 2: Consumables Kit Feature 3: Hardware - PCR Machine & Fluorimeter HW: Lab Report 6 (due 04/23/14-Wed Section, 04/24/14-Thurs Section through OpenWetWare) Grading Scheme: 5 points – Overall layout: Our Company section, grammar, style 10 points - Computer-Aided Design - TinkerCAD, your design 10 points – Feature 1: Disease SNP-Specific Primers - Background on the disease-associated mutation, primer design 10 points – Feature 2: Consumables Kit - "Consumables" are items like reagents (PCR mix, primer solution, SYBR Green solution, buffer, etc.), plastic tubes, glass slides, etc. 10 points – Feature 3: Hardware - PCR Machine & Fluorimeter 5 points - Bayes Statistics Quiz: Your Bayesian statistics work must be submitted via an online quiz at Blackboard. Wiki pages are time-stamped after each "save". Only the version of your page that was saved by the deadline will be graded. Any changes made after the deadline will be ignored.
