EdwardRyanTalatala Week 10
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment was to learn the basics of MATLAB by following the Lynda tutorial videos and practicing how to make MyFirstScript.m, LetsLoop.m, and plotTime.m files.
Methods
- downloaded MATLAB and installed it on my computer.
- visited ITS MATLAB installation page
- followed the instructions therein
- Spent an hour-ish learning basic MATLAB functionalities
- Went to lynda MATLAB tutorial
- worked along with the video from the Introduction through the end of Chapter 4 on Data Representations.
- used the data file (Sine.zip) to complete the exercise.
- uploaded the following MATLAB files:
- MyFirstScript.m
- LetsLoop.m
- plotTime.m
- added all three of these to a zip file (using 7-zip) to upload, as openwetware doesn't allow .m files.

Conclusion
The lynda tutorial videos were very informative and easy to follow. I had not problems doing the assignment. I have no experience with computer programing or writing code, but learning the foundations were not difficult so far.
