  1. Lentivirus - virus diseases caused by the lentivirus genus. They are multi-organ diseases characterised by long incubation periods and persistent infection. Biology Online 17 October 2011

  3. Tropism - An involuntary orienting response; positive or negative reaction to a stimulus source. Biology Online
  4. Protease - A proteinase which is any enzyme that catalyses the splitting of interior peptide bonds in a protein. Any enzyme that catalyzes the splitting of proteins into smaller peptide fractions and amino acids by a process known as proteolysis. BIology Online 18 October 2011

  8. Epitope - That part of an antigenic molecule to which the t-cell receptor responds, a site on a large molecule against which an antibody will be produced and to which it will bind.Biology Online
  9. Antibody - Any of the numerous Y-shaped gamma globulin proteins found in the blood or lymph, and produced by B cells as an immune defense against foreign agents (antigens).
