In the Department of Industrial & Physical Pharmacy at Purdue University, Dr. Stephen R. Byrn's lab studies solid state chemistry of drugs and formulation design; polymorphs, nanoparticles, liquid crystals, cocrystals, and amorphous materials; analytical methods in the solid state including X-ray diffraction and solid state NMR; and the molecular basis of manufacturing. He also teaches sustainable medicine in Africa.
