Hi Sri, thanks for the comment. Do you know anybody who might want to contribute to that page? We need more content before making it a focus.

OWW searching
Hi Skosuri,
Cool changes to the OWW search features. I like it. How was that implemented? Thanks for the nice comment.

Thanks
Re: deleteme suggestion: Sri, you are like a real-life version of Clippy (or would be if Clippy were useful). I don't know how you'll maintain this level of service when OWW tops 100k users. :) --smd 10:34, 27 November 2006 (EST)
As you suggested Hot Computational Biology Papers section need a lot of inputs from people like you. I wish if members can vote or rate the papers or can add better summary based on their background in this section so that exact quality of paper can be projected. Thanks again for your comments.
Codon
It's okay, I saw you briefly passing by his office and didn't want to to disturb. Good, I'll see you on the 13th. But next time you come by Codon, do remember to stop by my bench. Drew and Natalie visited me today.
Was that you I saw at Codon today in Mike's office?! And didn't bother to say hi to me at my bench??

BioSysBio/YBF conference
Hi Sri, we talked before about starting a discussion on the open review publishing of abstracts that we discussed. I've started the discussion http://openwetware.org/wiki/BioSysBio#Discussion and I wondered where is the best place to notify people about it? Or do I need to send a mail to the SC list specifically do you think? cheers. --Johncumbers 01:40, 27 March 2006 (EST)
Thank you
Hi Sri - thanks for the heads up - I should be giving that to you guys, though! What you have done is amazing - you can deem yourself lucky that you have all these motivated people around you at MIT.
I have pretty much figured everything out (I usually do :) and its really easy with those great tutorials) - with the frustrating exception of dewikifying. I have already sent Jason Kelly an email asking him for help, though (he sent me my account details). So don't bother unless you know he has no time... Thanks again - it seems to me I've been waiting for OWW and I didn't even know it! Guess you will see me around from now on. Cheers! Smeister 20:09, 25 February 2006 (EST)
Hi Sri, Thanks for showing me the useful links. I like OWW a lot. :-) --Niulili 16:25, 12 September 2006 (EDT)
Re: Your comment
Hi Sri,
Right. As mentioned on the discussion page, we'll use this morning's version with Barry's fix and misaligned icons since there doesn't seem to be a HTML solution that would satisfy both as of now. I would prefer the latter but since most others, in this case, prefer usability over visual appeal, we'll stick with that. I am planning on looking further into this though and I am sure there is a solution. I am also working on an AJAX extension that would simplify editing in the future and get rid of several glitches posted on the MediaWiki newsgroups, including this. More about that later.
Lastly, all issues that come up, especially as a result of my work, are brought to my attention and will always be resolved at the first opportunity to the best possible solution and everyone's satisfaction. There is no need to worry.
There is also an "edit" link on top that can always be used if any changes need to be made.

jeez
I couldn't even run up one flight of stairs to Niki's desk as fast as you became aware of and fixed our problem... i couldn't quite decide if I should be frustrated or happy about it... :) Smeister 10:10, 3 March 2006 (EST)
Calendar
Hi Sri - I love the Calendar and have put up a version of it on our labpage. I am wondering though, if there would be any possibility of implementing email alerts ("watch") for when someone adds an item to it. For example the labmeeting schedule changes, etc... Could I maybe put it under a namespace of its own (e.g. "kafatoscalendar:") and then have the whole namespace "watched"? Is anything like that possible? Smeister 14:35, 6 March 2006 (EST)
- Thanks that helps a little. For now I probably can't get the lab to move to using the calendar instead of sending emails to a lab-email-list, which was the original idea. The calendar is still a nice feature, though... Smeister 05:53, 7 March 2006 (EST)
Image linking to other media file
Hi Sri I have this small problem: On this site I want the image to link to the .doc file which can be found when clicking on the link above the image. How would I do that? I searched a little bit through oww and wiki help sites but couldn't get ot done. If you have any ideas please let me know. Nikolai.windbichler 05:05, 10 March 2006 (EST)
New OWW users
Hi Sri - thanks for posting comments to our iGEM team members about the namespace conventions. I will follow up with them in person tomorrow. Is there any good page that I can direct them to that describes this stuff, in addition to Etiquette? --smd 17:09, 14 June 2006 (EDT)
nifty feature
Hi Sri, how did you add little namespace hierarchy viewer like at the top of this page?

Hi Skosuri, thanks for your comment
You're right, I should be more specific but I'm still in the research phase of the article and should have more focused questions by the end of the week. However, right now I'm interested in general comments as, for example, what brought you into this field; how you found out about it and where you came from (for example: engineering, genetics or microbiology). Unlike traditional biologists, biosynthesists seem want to make things work better and are willing to push the envelope in previously unimaginable ways to do that. But what was it that made you choose synthetic biology over all else that's out there? What has been your most exciting research moment so far?
OOOOOPs, I'm getting specific.
Marcy
It's me again, that pesky science writer
A direction is emerging from the gloom and muddle of my brain. I'd like a side bar thusly: "Why the next generation of science geniuses is flocking to synthetic biology." Or something like that. Young people have a good instinct for where the future is in science. So some short comments on why synthetic biology is drawing young scientists in --the excitement of it-- and where you all come from should be of interest to the folks at ASM.
If this suits you (and anyone else reading your page), please comment on my page and then I'll put it up on the main page.
Thanks, Marcy
Hi Skosuri
Thanks for your comments!I am new to openwetware and I think it's a great way for all the people involved in life sciences to share information/ideas and organize various activities. It's my pleasure to contribute in any way for the development of this site!!!--Hartigan 17:30, 06 October 2006.
Thanks!
Hello Sri! I thank you very much for your message, the comments and suggestions. I did indeed realize that there might be a problem with my CSS styles. Is it possible to look at the style of the wiki? Anyway, I will slowly start to work on the details... for the moment I am happy that I managed to get everything look more or less fine.
Thanks again! Florian. Freimoser (talk) 20 October 2006
New Article
Hi Skosuri!
I was thinking to create a page about the postgraduate programme I attend during this period (Protein Biotechnology, University of Crete Greece) and include information about the lectures and the labs that participate in it but I am not sure if this fits to openwetware and how I can create a separate page/article apart from my user page? What do you propose?--Hartigan

capital letters, such as ABCDEFG. that is all.

account
Hi,
I dont understand the message you've left on my page. I have set up a lab account and I am the only one administering it. When other lab users come round to editing, they will have their own accounts. The only thing i don't know how to do, is change my home page from user:streptomyces to streptomyces. I've played around with the preferences, but they don't seem to do anything.

re: http://openwetware.org/wiki/User_talk:Streptomyces
Thanks, Sri Kosuri that is what i meant about the 'home page'. I will change it. any other useful coments are welcome. Cheers, Jim @ Streptomyces 12:26, 20 March 2007 (EDT)
