Objective

Synthesizing Gold Nanoparticles

Description

Part A Syntsizing 2 solutions of AuNP with different ratio:

---Solution 1 (Au/BSA mole ratio = 70)

  • Combine 1 mL of 3.66 mM HAuCl4 and 3.02 mL of 0.0173 mM BSA in a test tube.
  • Dilute to 10 mL with water.
  • Place in oven.(80°C)

---Solution 2 (Au/BSA mole ratio = 166)

  • Combine 1 mL of 3.66 mM HAuCl4 and 1.27 mL of 0.0173 mM BSA in a test tube.
  • Dilute to 10 mL with water.
  • Place in oven. (80°C)

Part B Leave solutions in oven for 2.5 hr.
