Data

BSA UV-VIS NoBAS -Fruc-0.0625 absorbance.PNG

The graph above details the UV-VIS absorbance of our 0.0625 mM fructose solution (NO BSA). Only pH 11 formed nanoparticles. There was also an odd detection for all solutions with the exception of the pH 12 solution (it could be present but it was very minuscule). There was a shoulder formed right around 270 nm. This could be either due to the protein or gold.

BSA UV-VIS NoBAS -Fruc-0.0625 530absorbance.PNG

The graph above displays the absorbance experienced at wavelength 530. It reiterates that only pH11 formed nanoparticles.

BSA UV-VIS NoBAS -Fruc-0.125 absorbance.PNG

The graph above details the UV-VIS absorbance of our 0.125 mM fructose solution (NO BSA). As seen in the 0.0625 Fructose trials, only pH11 formed nanoparticles. The unidentified intermediate was also present around 270 for all pHs with the exception of pH12 (it might be there but it is very minuscule).

BSA UV-VIS NoBAS -Fruc-0.125 530absorbance.PNG

The graph above displays the absorbance experienced at wavelength 530. Once again, it details that only pH 11 formed nanoparticles.

BSA UV-VIS NoBAS -Fruc-0.25 absorbance.PNG

The graph above details the UV-VIS absorbance of our 0.25 mM fructose solution (NO BSA). As seen in the 0.0625 Fructose trials, only pH11 formed nanoparticles. The unidentified intermediate was also present around 270 for all pHs with the exception of pH12 (it might be there but it is very minuscule).

BSA UV-VIS NoBAS -Fruc-0.25 530absorbance.PNG

The graph above displays the absorbance experienced at wavelength 530. Once again, it details that only pH 11 formed nanoparticles.

BSA UV-VIS NoBSA -Fruc-0.75 absorbance.PNG

The graph above deatils the UV-VIS absorbance of our 0.75 mM Fructose solution (NO BSA). Only pH 11 formed nanoparticles around 530 nm. Both pHs 11 and 12 had an interesting hump around 270 nm. All other solutions were relatively flat. We have seen this intermediate from pH 11 before, but it has been absent from pH 12 until now.

BSA UV-VIS NoBSA -Fruc-0.75 530absorbance.PNG

The above graph displays the absorbance experienced at wavelength 530. Once again, it details that only pH 11 formed nanoparticles. The intensity is much lower than our 0.25 Fructose solution, (0.5 vs. 0.8).

BSA UV-VIS NoBSA -Fruc-1.25 absorbance.PNG

The graph above details the UV-VIS absorbance of our 1.25 mM fructose solution (NO BSA). Nanoparticles were only formed in the pH 11 soltuion. In the pH 12 solution, the peak which was absent around 270 nm in our other concentrations (until 0.75 Fructose), was increased dramtically.

BSA UV-VIS NoBSA -Fruc-1.25 530absorbance.PNG

The above graph displays the absorbance experienced at wavelength 530. Once again, it details that only pH 11 formed nanoparticles. It is slightly lower than our 0.75 fructose solution.
