-----------------------------------
1. Controller system for mini-pPCR
PI: Kostov
 Detail Description
2. Miniature and low-cost wireless sensor platform for environmental monitoring
PI - Kostov
 Detail Description
3. Optical sensor for ethanol measurements
PI - Kostov
 Detail Description
4. Engineered Proteins for Low-Cost Metabolic Monitoring
PI: Tolosa L., Kostov Y - collaborator
A protein that selectively binds to glucose is used for glucose sensing. It is labeled with polarity-sensitive fluorescent dye in the hinge region. When bound to glucose, it closes and exposes the dye to water, which results in diminished fluorescence. A second dye attached to the n-terminal to serve as a reference. The fluorescence is collected using recessed cones to enhance the light collection. The glucose is extracted using microdialysis.
5. Low-cost portable system for multi-analyte metabolic monitoring
