Welcome to Yang's Lab
Yuedong Yang is Professor in the School of Data and Computer Science, Sun yet-sen University, China. Before his joining the Sun yet-sen University, he was a research fellow in the Griffith University between Jun 2013 and Jul 2017. He has been a postdoc since Sep 2006, and later promoted to Research Assistant Professor on May 2011 in the school of Informatics, Indiana University (IUPUI), USA. He received his PhD degree in the computational biology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2006. His current research interests include (1) Virtual ligand screening, (2) Classification of Human Genetic Variations, (3) Protein Structure Prediction and Refinement, (4) Protein function prediction, and (5) Protein interaction with other protein, DNA, RNA, Carbohydrate, and small ligand molecules based on high performance calculation (HPC, Tianhe-2). He has published >60 publications in high-profile journals including PNAS, Genome Biol, NAR, and Bioinformatics, which have been cited >2000 times (see my profile at Google Scholar and Scopus). Over the years, he has been actively involved in community services within the field of computational biology and bioinformatics. He currently reviews about 10 articles annually for more than 5 journals.
