Ocean Optics Purpose To use ocean optics to make conclusions about the rate of nanoparticle formation in pH5. Procedure Sample was made Myoglobin: 0.25mM Au, 12.5uM Myoglobin, 0.01mM HCl 3mL total Au 3.73mM (0.25mM)(3.0mL)=(XmL)(3.73mM) XmL= .201mL= 201uL Au Myoglobin 160uM (12.5uM)(3.0mL)=(XmL)(160uM) X=0.234mL= 234uL Myoglobin HCl 0.1mM (3.0mL)(0.01mM)=(1.0mM)(XmL) XmL=0.03mL= 30uL HCl Water Volume of water= 3000uL- 201uL-234uL-30uL= 2535uL Scans were taken at 80oC every 2 minutes for 3 hours Scans Absorbance Scan at pH5 Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Wavelength Scan at pH5 Error creating thumbnail: Unable to save thumbnail to destination Notes pH 5 was done on 09/13/2016 with the wrong concentration of myoglobin, so the procedure was redone here for pH5.
