Objectives

  1. Synthesize new Myoglobin-AuNP solutions with different ratios in order to determine the optimal concentration of Au to protein for the formation of fibers
  2. Synthesize Lysozyme-AuNP solutions


Myoglobin-AuNP and Lysozyme-AuNP synthesis

  • The general protocol for the synthesis of HRP-AuNP and Pepsin-AuNP follows the general protocol for the preparation of protein wrapped Au-NPs described on 08/28/2013.
  • 5mL of each solution was prepared.

  • All of the prepared AuNP solutions had a slight yellow tinge to the solutions (from the presence of the gold).
  • All of the prepared AuNP solutions will be tested using UV/vis and AA spectroscopy
