Description
- The reaction was stopped by adding water in excess and allowing the solution to stir for 2 hours. After 2 hours, the reaction vessel was removed from the condenser and the white solid was filtered. The solid was then dissolved in ethyl acetate to remove any the nanoparticles from solution. 500 μL of the product solution was dissolved in methanol and stored in a GCMS vial for analysis the following week.
- For the remainder of lab, I assisted Jake and Alicia with their reaction setup.
