Day 4: UV Testing Today we did UV testing on specific samples from yesterday. Based on how they looked due to their colors we chose to Tryptophan (all 10 samples) and Aspartate (samples 1 through 4) and we discovered that even though the Tryptophan produced high amounts of gold nanoparticles that seemed to be stable, we should still test Aspartate's gold nanoparticles levels again because most of the samples had crashed out. So instead of using the oven next week we are going to boil the Aspartate to see if this will make the nanoparticles more stable AND if it produces high amounts of these nanoparticles.
