1) Preparation of 5 mM NaOH solution by dilution

Original molarity of NaOH (M1) : 1M Molarity of NaOH to be prepared (M2) : 5 mM Volume to be prepared (V2) : 50 mL Volume of original needed (V1) : ?

M1 * V1 = M2 * V2 (1M) * (X) = (0.005M) * (0.05 L) X = 0.25 mL

Volume of 1M NaOH needed to make 50 mL of 5 mM NaOH = 0.25 mL

2) Making solutions with low Au:Amino acid over different pH range

Below is the table with all the volumetric ratios of Au:Amino acids

The above volumetric ratio combination is performed for all three amino acids (Arginine, Isoleucine and Phenylalanine).
