Notification to emergency services for heart attacks before they occur.
Heart disease is a prominent issue in the United States today and will likely be even more so in the future with technological advances helping humans live much longer than it was previously possible. The Heart Foundation explains that in 2011, "heart disease was the number 1 cause of death in the United States, claiming nearly 787,000 lives that year." Focusing just on heart attacks, "720,000 people in the US suffer from heart attacks every year." As of 2016 data from the American Heart Association, 116,000 of the 750,000 people in the US that had heart attacks died. It is evident that heart attacks are still a major issue in physical health for many people despite attempts to reduce the fatalities from these heart attacks. The purpose of this product is for the notification to emergency services for heart attacks before they occur so that the mortality rate for people that are prone to suffer heart attacks to be higher.
