1. Overview

The mycoplasma contamination represents a major problem the culture of mammalian cells.It can be efficiently eliminated with Plasmocin [1].
The only way to confirm mycoplasma contamination is by routine testing using PCR Mycosensor Assay. The Kirk Lab uses the Agilent MycoSensor Assay Kit part #302109 and it can be found here [2].
