Group Conference Call (Pollard & Eisen labs)
- First skype conference call. After some glitches, worked great for multiple party calls.

- Genevieve Erwin (Pollard lab grad student collaborator) talked about human microbiome project ideas
- NSF grant proposal
- Possible Genographic collaboration
- Discussion of issues with organism based analysis of human microbiome
- for the most part, we don't know which organisms are pathogenic, neutral, beneficial
- Pathway based analyses over come this problem, but are misleading if the components of the pathway are not all in the same cell
