GPEM is PEM + 1 mM GTP. PEM is BRB80 and also referred to as "general tubulin buffer."
As of June, 2009, we are making GPEM as follows:
- 98 parts PEM
- 2 parts 50 mM GTP
For example, on 6/15/2009, Linh is making 300 microliters of GPEM by adding:
- 294 microliters PEM (from cytoskeleton)
- 6 microliters of GTP
