Welcome to the homepage of Alexander Kanitz.

A molecular biologist by training, I have developed a strong interest in bioinformatics and lab automation. I have conducted research in various areas of the life sciences, particularly in the study of post-transcriptional gene regulation and regulatory networks.

Currently, I am a post-doctoral fellow in the group of Prof. Mihaela Zavolan at the Biozentrum of the University of Basel, where I study RNA biology with computational means.
