Databases

MethyCancer

The database of human DNA Methylation and Cancer (MethyCacer), is developed to study interplay of DNA methylation, gene expression and cancer. It hosts both highly integrated data of DNA methylation, cancer-related gene, mutation and cancer information from public resources, and the CpG Island (CGI) clones derived from our large-scale sequencing. Interconnections between different data types were analyzed and presented. Search tool and graphical MethyView are developed to help users access all the data and data connections and view DNA methylation in context of genomics and genetics data.

ChickVD

The Chicken Variation Database (ChickVD), hosts the high-quality sequence variation data, variation analysis in the context of chicken genes, cDNAs, chicken orthologs of human disease genes, genetic markers, quantitative trait loci (QTLs) etc . All data are uniquely mapped onto the RJF draft genome and graphically represented in MapView, an efficient visualization tool that allows users to browse sequence variations in the genomic and functional context.

SilkDB

The Silkworm Genome Database (SilkDB), is a database of the integrated genome resource for the silkworm, Bombyx mori. This database provides access to not only genomic data including functional annotation of genes, gene products and chromosomal mapping, but also extensive biological information such as microarray expression data, ESTs and corresponding references. SilkDB will be useful for the silkworm research community as well as comparative genomics.

BGI-RISe

The BGI Rice Informaion System (BGI-RISe), is the most up-to-date integrated information resource as well as a workbench for comparative genomic analysis. In addition to comprehensive data from Oryza sativa L. ssp. indica sequenced by BGI, BGI-RIS also hosts carefully curated genome information from Oryza sativa L. ssp. japonica and EST sequences available from other cereal crops. In this resource, sequence contigs of indica (93-11) have been further assembled into Mbp-sized scaffolds and anchored onto the rice chromosomes referenced to physical/genetic markers, cDNAs and BAC-end sequences.
