Overview U-2 OS culture was transfected on Friday, May 8. I'm now checking on the success of those transfections. There were three transfections performed (in duplicate): KAH187-MV8 (positive control, CFP); KAH126-MV2 (RFP); and KAH87-MV10 (RFP). Images KAH187-MV8 KAH126-MV2 KAH87-MV10 Results Positive control worked as expected. Surprisingly, KAH126 did as well; might be due to low cell density prior to transfection (~70% confluency). KAH87-MV10 did not show any transfection efficiency - this is most likely due to the fact that the insert in the plasmid was placed backwards. Will repeat KAH87-MV10 once I have a better copy.
