Objective
We got strange spectra on Friday. So I'm making new stock solutions today. I'm also using methanol to ensure that the MG goes into solution.
Protocol:
- measure malachite green into eppendorf tube
- use transfer pipet to add methanol, using different pipet transfer MG/methanol to brown, 50 mL centrifuge tube
- repeat step 2 an extra 2 times to ensure transfer
- add water to eppendorf tube with MG/methanol and perform one last transfer
- add water to 50 mL centrifuge tube and measure final mass
