Training

Yearly mandatory "German gene technology act" presented by Diana Hofmann in December (see seminar list).


Disposal rules

  • Ethidium bromide - only in the gel area. Note separate trash bins for gels and contaminated solid waste. Wear nitrile (blue) glowes.
  • Organic waste (e.g. phenol, chlorophorm) - dispose into "Organic waste" labeled bottle in the fume hood
  • Radionuclides and radioactive waste - follow the rules of the "hot labs"
