This device is targeted mostly towards people who like to be active, but can be used by anyone. It would especially be useful for people trying to loose weight and monitor their progress. Our product, the Aceso Headphones, would come with an app that would record and display things like distance traveled, time spent working out, heart rate, calories burned, and body temperature. There would also be a feature where you could input your weight and daily calorie intake. The thing that makes Aceso unique and unlike any other body monitoring device is that all while measuring these things while working out, it also has a state of the art sound system by Dre, so you can listen to your favorite tunes during your workout. Everyone favorite thing at the gym! A statistic found from Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (cdc.org) suggests that 49.2% of adults 18 years of age and over in the US who met the Physical Activity Guidelines for aerobic physical activity. With a US population of nearly 320 million people this mean over 150 million people meet these guidelines. This is already a very large target population; however we would expect an even larger target population because of the popularity of Beats by Dre products and the popularity of music in general.

Temperature

When calculating the t-test value for Temperature, it was determined that the value was significant. This is due to the value being less than 0.05.
Due to the r value being close to zero, it can be determined that there is little to no correlation between the Spree Band and the Gold Standard measurements.

Heart Rate

When calculating the t-test value for Heartbeat, it was determined that the value wasn't significant. This is due tot he value being greater than 0.05.
Due to the r value being close to one, it can be determined that there is a correlation between the Spree Band and the Gold Standard measurements.

Summary/Discussion

Temperature
The temperature reading for the Spree Band reflected the heat of the surrounding temperature, rather than internal body temperature. Thus, providing consistent readings for temperature. Possible suggestions to address the issue are to relocate the temperature sensors for the band to a body part that is less exposed to the environment and more exposed to the body.

Heart Rate
Since the t-test was insignificant, the data was inconsistent. Therefore, to address this issue, a possible solution could involve moving the sensors on the headband closer to a central artery in the head, thus yielding more accurate measurements.
