Hi Mike -- I edited your excel file a bit...look at the above file around cell O2 to see how to use the "LINEST" and "INDEX" functions to do a linear fit with uncertainty. I also plotted the best fit along with accepted value. Interestingly, the accepted value is outside the uncertainty of the fit, but if you plot the accepted slope, it looks pretty reasonable.--Steve Koch 15:08, 18 October 2007 (CDT)
