Education
2012 - present, Ph.D., Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry
2009 - 2012, M.Sc., Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich

Research interests
I recently started my PhD in the Schwille lab at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Munich.
My research focuses on the buttom-up reconstitution of minimal biological systems. In particular, I am engineering the behaviour of proteins at the membrane-cytosol interface. Towards this end, I am using molecular-biological as well as biophysical techniques.
Prior to my PhD, I have been a visiting master student in Prof. Pam Silver's lab at Harvard Medical School. My master research was on carbon fixation with regard to future biofuel applications.
