Objective

To analyse the AUNP Lysozyme fibers using DSC, Powder XRD, and FTIR.

  1. Prepping AUNP fibers
    1. Poured 10 of the 5mL samples of ANUP fibers into 5 15 mL falcon tubes, 2 5 mL samples to a tube.
    2. Centrifuged the tubes for 5 minutes at 4000 rpm in the centrifuge
  2. Prepping DSC Samples
    1. Sample 1: AUNP Fiber
      1. Pan & Lid: 51.37 mg
      2. Sample: 3.49 mg
      3. Together: 53.73 mg
    2. Sample 2: AUNP Fiber
      1. Pan & Lid: 50.80 mg
      2. Sample: 4.43 mg
      3. Together: 53.74 mg
    3. Sample 3: Lysozyme
      1. Pan & Lid: 51.27 mg
      2. Sample: 3.04 mg
      3. Together: 54.38 mg
    4. Sample 4: Lysozyme
      1. Pan & Lid: 50.71 mg
      2. Sample: 3.63 mg
      3. Together: 54.44 mg
  3. Running DSC Samples
    1. Steps for DSC Samples
      1. equilibrate at 20°C
      2. ramp 5°C/min to 100°C
      3. hold for 3 min
      4. ramp 5°C to 200°C
      5. isotherm for 1 min
      6. repeat to #2 2 times
  4. Running DSC Scans
    1. GET CONDITIONS
  5. Running FTIR
    1. GET CONDITIONS
