Objective

An analysis of Nanoparticle synthesis (taking pictures and recording UV-Vis) gathered on both the 11th and 12th is presented here. The reactions were run on the 5th (100 uM amino acid) and the 11th (25, 50, 150, and 200 uM).

Description

  1. Add experimental record here. Include what, how, and why...

Data

All data are shown with Alanine at 25uM to indicate what "no reaction" looks like.

Alanine

Arginine

Asparagine

Aspartic Acid

Note: I think that aspartic acid is an outlier because it has an N-methyl protecting group instead of an N-acetyl protecting group. My hunch is that Aspartic acid won't make nanoparticles with different N-protection.

Cysteine

Glutamine

Glutamic Acid

Glycine

Histidine

Isoleucine

Leucine

Lysine

Note: this data for Nα-acetyl lysine doesn't match with my previous data for lysine. I think that the primary amine on the side chain may also be protected. I need to check into this.

Methionine

Phenylalanine

Proline

Serine

Threonine

Tryptophan

Tyrosine

Valine

Notes

This area is for any observations or conclusions that you would like to note.
