protein extract fractionation (cont)

Consulted with Bill Driscoll:

  1. the extract that will be prepared for ZOOMing (detergent + urea added) has to be of max 0.5-0.6 mg/mL concentration
  2. ZOOM recommends 1-2mg of total protein per run
  3. Bill suggests 2 runs of 300µL each of 0.6µg/mL extract
  4. originally we did 1 run of 400µL of extract in final volume of 4000µL (~650x5) after preparation for ZOOMing
  5. pool 4 sub-samples from new extracts to make up for 2x300 = 600µL
  6. we start on Monday of Jun-12
