Objective The procedure from [1] was followed with no UV VIS calculations performed. Procedure 0.974 mL of a 0.0154 mM BSA, 8.446 mL of water and 0.581 mL of 4.3 HAuCl4 were combined in a clean and sterile test tube and kept at room temperature. The reaction was placed in an oven at approximately 75 degrees for 30 minutes, and then placed at room temperature for 10 minutes. This procedure was repeated for the next 3 hours, and appearances were noted. Results Purple fibers were noted at the 3 hour mark for incubation. This was the intended goal of the experiment. Notes
