Protocol

  1. UV-vis on 3 sets of samples from Wednesday February 12th
  2. Powder XRD on material from new synthesis method for comparison
  3. Continued data analysis on old and new solutions
  4. Update Open-wetware with data analysis and observations


Results

Observations

  • None of the 1-Thioglycerol samples produced a precipitate
  • 0-40% BSA 1-Thioglycerol samples did not fluoresce brightly.
  • Attempting precipitation of original BSA-Cysteine samples from 1/29/14
    1. Beginning with the addition of 5 mL of Ethanol
    2. To be followed tomorrow with centrifugation, redissolving and precipitating a second time.
