National Institutes of Health Summer Internship Program Summer 2006 National Institute of Neurological Disorder and Stroke: Lab of Molecular Biology, Dr. Ronald McKay I worked on studying rat fetal neural stem cells and their differentiation using confocal fluorescence microscopy and lineage building techniques. My project's focus was on asymmetric cell divisions.
National Institutes of Health Summer Internship Program Summer 2008 National Cancer Institute: Lab of Cellular Oncology, Dr. Linda Wolff My project title was "Examination of the regulation of p15INK4b by an antisense RNA in acute myeloid leukemia". Some techniques that I used in the course of the project were cell cultures, building a virus construct, and running RT-PCR.
