If you did not form AuNP, remake solutions and try again
- You may need to remake the stock solution
- You can run a quick test at 90°C using oven in Rm 205. Particles should form within 1 - 2 hr.
Prepare amino acid solutions of the same concentration as BSA (250 μM ?)
- Choose three amino acids: an aromatic R, an amine (or thiol) R, and an aliphatic R
- Prepare 50 mL of each stock
Make AuNP using your amino acid solutions
- For each amino acid solution, use a Au: amino acid solution of 20, 80, & 160
- Measure the pH of your solution.
Measure the UV and fluorescence of your amino acid stock solutions
