Hello, and welcome to my Open Wet Ware page. Not much to see here yet! For the moment, you'll have to do with my Web page at the University of Manchester.

I'm a PhD student working with bioinformaticians to explore the use and reuse of workflow technology for in silico experimentation. The Taverna workbench developed in the myGrid project has been used for gene annotation pipelines, proteomics, microarray data annotation, systems biology. Some examples are given below. I'm not sure what the best way would be to integrate this with the In Silico Protocols section. For now you can find these (some 200 workflows) at the myExperiment.org workflow repository

  • Bioinformatics Sequence Analysis 101
  • Plant Genome Investigations
  • Genotype-phenotype correlations
  • Protein structure CATH database queries
  • Williams Beuren Syndrome investigation
  • Graves Disease Investigation
  • Identification of homologs of the transcription factor FOXO in Drosophila using BLAST and a multiple sequence alignment
