Alignment

I was able to align the 1064 nm laser with Linh's help manning the camera. This was straight forward even though I have never used an infrared laser. I don't think it took longer than 30 minutes to get the beam aligned.

Optical path

So the optical path is below.

Really simple. The next step is to put the power modulator in the beam and the beam expander. This shouldn't take too long but we ran out of time today. I've never used a periscope before but I don't anticipate any trouble using it.

Of course the microscope isn't here yet but at least we can do everything else.

To do

I need to read the manuals for the laser and the power modulator.
