- If calcium is not good for microtubules, then should we get a water purifier that makes 18.2 MΩ-cm H2O? That way when we put stuff into a buffer, it will only be the stuff we put in it and not the hard water we have here.
- If getting a water purifier is not going to work, then we could use ion exchange in a column to make sure we get all the calcium out of solution. We can check this with two different dyes, fura-4F or indo-1.
- Is there a limiting amount of calcium in solution that will blow up microtubules?
