Desciption I went to the lab to check on the mixture. This one was also a dark one, instead of the pale yellow I should get. I put the mixture in a dark falcon tube Added Na2S to both mixture (HgCl2 and HgNO3)+BSA Procedure 4mL of 20 mM Na2S Stir for 15 mins till color changes to light brown Data The color changed from dark to brown for both mixtures, but not too light. 10mL of 20mM Na2S 0.01L*0.02Mol/L*240.18g/mol=0.048036g ---0.04799g were used.
