Authorship guidelines put forth by the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research: To qualify for authorship, each author should contribute substantially to the intellectual content of the work. Such contribution consists of: 1) participating in the conception and design or analysis and interpretation of data; 2) drafting the article or critically revising it; and 3) approving the final version submitted, and approving any subsequent revisions. All three conditions must be met to justify authorship.
