Sticky Film (TMPM) Dish Treatment Protocol

• Materials:
  • 200 Proof Ethanol
  • H2O (MilliQ)
  • Glacial Acetic Acid
  • 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate, 98%
• Procedure (To treat approximately 9 dishes):

1. Add 9.5 mL 200 Proof Ethanol to vial
2. Add 500 µL H2O (MilliQ)
3. Remove 50 µL solution - add 50 µL Glacial Acetic Acid
4. Remove 200 µL solution - add 200 µL 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate
5. Add 1 mL to each dish - filter sterilized through a .22 µm syringe filter
6. Wash twice with MilliQ water.
7. Sterilize with 70% Ethanol, aspirate and let dry/sterilize under UV in TC hood
