This Feature is a Stress Promoter

I've given you the name of the gene whose promoter we want to turn into a BglBricks basic part. You won't be cloning the protein coding sequence from the gene but rather the region upstream of it. You'll have to decide where exactly to "cut" the gene, but the rule of thumb I recommend is to go 200 bp upstream into whatever gene is 5' of your gene and go 200 bp downstream of it. You can retrieve the sequence of the genome surrounding your Feature by searching for the gene name at http://www.ecogene.org/. Type in the gene name, click submit, then click DNA. The numbers it puts in are the genome location of the start and stop of your gene's coding sequence.
