--Kevin 11:32, 13 September 2006 (EDT) I'll take the blame for propagating "chasses." Not to fly in the face of Noah Webster, but the use of chasses makes sense and would eliminate confusion. It's a living language! That said, I changed everything to the more conventional "chassis".
--Geochurch 07:03, 10 September 2006 (EDT) I agree; although the ballet interpretation seems apt. The non-standard plural was propagated from another SynERC page. I have found and fixed a few more instances since your change, except ones I can't edit: UCB SynBERC Thrusts
- BC 10:32, 30 August 2006 (EDT): The OED (license required), Merriam-Webster and Wikipedia(!) all seem convinced that the plural form of "chassis" is also "chassis". Is there any reason to go with the non-standard "chasses".
