Icons

• Jennyn 12:35, 10 March 2006 (EST): I will probably change Materials and Protocols, but I have no idea what. Maybe switch 'em? Make something more specific?
• RS 13:15, 10 March 2006 (EST): I would use the microscope icon for Equipment rather than Protocols. I'll try to think about what would make a good Protocols icon (nothing comes to me off the top of my head).
• RS 13:16, 10 March 2006 (EST): We probably also want an icon for software. See OpenWetWare:Organizing discussion pages for some suggestions about topic areas for the community portal.
• Austin 13:18, 10 March 2006 (EST): How about some kind of paper with a numbered list on it for protocols? The courses icon is bit abstract and not easily understood. Maybe a blackboard?

Color scheme

• I like these colors in the logo, but I think the green is a little rough in large swaths on the front page, might be worth looking at some softer greens or something before rolling it out to the actual main page. In general, it's probably worth tossing up a page like this one before actually making a big change to the main page. I think I'll switch the main page back, until we get the colors on the logo finalized, etc.Jasonk 14:04, 26 February 2006 (EST)
