Topic of discussion
John Cumbers will be leading a discussion on some proposed work on synthetic biology and space.
Here is the outline (from John)
- Foundational research: promoter characterization scheme. (where to extend Jason's work into the future)
- Application areas, where NASA will get the most bang for their buck.
- Photosynthetic chassis / cyanobacteria for synthetic biology
- Combinatorial synthetic genomics on an extremophile, a la mycoplasma laboritorium
