ScyTek Laboratories was founded in 1991 with the goal of becoming a world class manufacturing company producing reagents for the life sciences market. ScyTek selected Utah due to its position as a central hub for the western United States. Among its many advantages, Utah has a highly educated workforce combined with a relatively low cost geographical region. Nestled in the beautiful northern Wasatch Mountains, Cache Valley is an ideal location for a growing biotech company. Numerous outdoor recreational options within driving distance makes our home a great place to live or an enjoyable location to visit. Just to name a few, there is Yellowstone Park, Zion National Park, Skiing, Mountain Biking and Fishing. We always encourage anyone visiting ScyTek to take a couple extra days and enjoy the great outdoors. From the early days producing ELISA reagents for the OEM market, ScyTek has gradually expanded its production capabilities to include Immunohistochemistry Reagents, Special Stains, Routine Stains, Buffers, Mounting Media, Fixatives, Diluents and a wide variety of custom reagents. Through the years we have maintained our focus on manufacturing products primarily for the OEM/Private Label markets. From the beginning, we adopted a stringent raw material screening process to ensure that all manufactured products were of the highest quality. In 2011 ScyTek Laboratories received ISO 9001-2008 certification, followed by certification to ISO 13485 in 2016.
ScyTek continues to grow year after year as a result of our commitment to continuous improvement of each and every product line. Being a primary manufacturer allows ScyTek to continually identify areas that can be improved through the implementation of Kaizen and other manufacturing management techniques. In addition, aggressive pricing through vigilant cost containment and continuous improvements in efficiency have helped to foster strong customer bonds. We consider it our duty to provide our customers with the highest quality products and services to help them win the battles in a competitive environment.
