02/08/2007 12:43:17 ‹John Cumbers› Hi
02/08/2007 12:43:30 ‹John Cumbers› I'm sorry that I couldn't call in, something came up here
02/08/2007 12:43:36 ‹Mackenzie L. Cowell› here is a better example of how powerful tags can be, with simple boolean combinations:
02/08/2007 12:43:43 ‹John Cumbers› I just tried to call but did not hear anything
02/08/2007 12:44:04 ‹John Cumbers› I cannot stay so can I give my update via text please Jason?
02/08/2007 12:44:51 ‹Reshma P. Shetty› sorry we are mid-conversation
02/08/2007 12:44:57 ‹John Cumbers› np
02/08/2007 12:44:57 ‹Reshma P. Shetty› do you want to type in your report
02/08/2007 12:45:02 ‹Reshma P. Shetty› and we'll come to it next
02/08/2007 12:45:43 ‹John Cumbers› sure,. thanks Reshma
02/08/2007 12:46:40 ‹John Cumbers› Scopus update: It would be a nice addition to biblio if, as well as including links to pubmed and hubmed, it included links to papers that cite that particular paper.
02/08/2007 12:46:57 ‹John Cumbers› Elsevier has the scopus service for doing this, as does google scholar etc.
02/08/2007 12:48:05 ‹John Cumbers› Elsevier contacted us wanting to know if we are interested in including this feature. I have mailed them back telling them that we would be, but saying that this is not a very high priority for us. I suggested that if they wanted to develop the biblio extension to include it then we would be likely to use it.
02/08/2007 12:48:13 ‹John Cumbers› this was on advice from Jason
02/08/2007 12:48:25 ‹John Cumbers› in other news.
02/08/2007 12:49:12 ‹John Cumbers› I've been speaking to the IET ( about open access and the plans for their journal IET synthetic biology.
02/08/2007 12:50:09 ‹Reshma P. Shetty› yes mac touched on this
02/08/2007 12:50:20 ‹John Cumbers› They are keen to head in this direction and it might provide a great test-bed for openwetware to interact with a publisher.
02/08/2007 12:50:22 ‹John Cumbers› cool
02/08/2007 12:50:25 ‹Reshma P. Shetty›
02/08/2007 12:50:46 ‹John Cumbers› The reason being that the IET is a chartity rather than a for-profit publisher
02/08/2007 12:50:56 ‹John Cumbers› just throwing this out there
02/08/2007 12:51:23 ‹John Cumbers› I'll put it on the agenda for next time.
02/08/2007 12:51:45 ‹John Cumbers› I apologize, but I have to go, but please e-mail me with any questions
