Overview:
- We hope to use synthetic biology to create a genetic circuit in a hardy, harmless form of microbe that would be capable of producing the enzymes needed for efficient biohydrogen production in a normal (aerobic, RT) environment. We then propose to create a general apparatus for raising the bacteria and collecting the hydrogen, to be used as an inexpensive fuel cell for both humanitarian and industrial purposes.
