Injected the alar plate caudal or rostral to trigeminal ganglion with DiI, and then placed DiO into the trigeminal ganglion to see the degree of bifurcation of individual trigeminal neurons. Picking up a lot of non V on the DiI presumably - but quite interesting that in the rostral branch I appear to have very little overlap between red and green. I would imagine if all caudally projecting branches were of neurons that were also bifurcating to project rostrally I would see quite a bit more overlap on that branch - that does not seem to be the case.
