pH Meter

• Turn on with the probe still in storage solution
• Remove pH electrode from the storage solution and rinse it with ddH2O into a waste collection container
• Measure pH; take care not to allow the probe to bang into the wall or rim of your test tube
• Rinse again after use
• Replace probe in storage solution before turning off; never store electrode in water or in a buffer solution of pH ~ 7
• Empty the rinse waste collection container and clean up before leaving
