Make a 1M stock (30 mg/mL) using paraformaldehyde (Sigma P6148) in a small glass vessel (under 10 mL):

• seal it with a rubber stopper and an aluminum seal, which is crimped around the stopper to be airtight.
• autoclave at 121 deg F for 8 min on the liquid cycle.
