July 12th to July 16th Amanda: digestions, gel extractions, ligations, transformations, PCR of golS and golB, miniprep, PCR to see if we got GolS into a plasmid, worked on updating current inlab notebook and wiki lab notebook Tom: This week we tried PCR again, but after another failure we talked to Dr. Jin who told us to first get a kit to extract the DNA. We also tried cloning golB and golS into a plasmid which also failed.
